Water Sports and Hanseatic Towns
If you love being active on holiday or spending time in and around the water, then EuroParcs Marina Strandbad is the perfect destination for you! The region surrounding the park is ideal for all kinds of outdoor and water sports. The holiday park also features its own marina, from which you can sail straight onto the IJssel River. You can bring your own boat or rent canoes and SUP boards for shorter trips. If you prefer solid ground beneath your feet, the area offers beautiful routes for long walks and bike rides.
Castles, Historic Towns and the Hoge Veluwe National Park
Cultural explorers will also find plenty to enjoy here: the charming Hanseatic cities of Hasselt, Zwolle, Deventer, and Zutphen – all steeped in history – are within easy reach. Stroll through the streets of Bronkhorst, the smallest city in the Netherlands, and admire its many monuments. Beyond the towns, you’ll discover picturesque villages, cozy country houses, and traditional farms. The region is also famous for its many impressive castles that overlook the countryside and make time seem to stand still. One highlight is Castle Vorden, part of the popular “Eight Castles Cycle Route.”
Close to the Marina Strandbad Holiday Park, you’ll find two large national parks: Veluwezoom National Park and De Hoge Veluwe National Park – the largest national park in the Netherlands. Here, vast heathlands, dense forests, and sand drifts await you. In the center of De Hoge Veluwe lies the Kröller-Müller Museum, home to the world’s second-largest Van Gogh collection.
